Family

Astrid is a first cousin to to Duncan Kordt II, heir apparent of the Kordt family. His parents Duncan and Ella Kordt run the family estate and surrounding county under Duke Ralf Ibric. Astrid's parents Kurt and Marina represent the family in the capitol. Astrid has two younger brothers of whom she feels rather protective. Theo is the oldest and attends university pursuing a baccalaureate degree. The younger, Felix, grew up idolizing the way of life of his country relations and ended up enlisting in the army with Duncan's younger brother Kris. It has been some time since she last heard from him, but with the chaos she reassured herself it was to be expected.

Recent

Astrid served behind the front lines following the Flannery arson of the western forests and the rise in incursions from the north. At first her time consisted of fixing up roads, bridges, and wagons to help move what few refugees there were out of the areas, but more recently she has seen skirmishes of combat against servitor raiders from the north, building of rushed fortifications all too close to home. It was depressing work and finally put urgency and understanding to the stories she had heard while safe behind the walls of _. Fresia was being torn apart. The remaining free people faced what seemed like a final stand. And if they made it, the hooves of Flannery were not likely to be far behind.
