Barbarian King's Buckler

Recovered from the Tomb of the Barbarian King near Wydmoor Free City, this shield is clearly of ancient and primitive make, although of superb quality for its origins. Is is made of darkwood with a thin covering of bronze, in the center of which is the figure of a bull's head. It attaches to the arm with a pair leather straps with bronze buckles.

Functionally it is a +1 buckler. Additionally, when first struck by a missile weapon in a round, you may make a DC 20 save to block the arrow. While the Barbarian King probably did not notice, there is a downside to using the weapon: any arrows passing within 10' of it are rerouted to the wielder.

In theory, this is a cursed item, although its current owner Germain has made exceptional strategic use of it leveraging it as a tool to protect casters, archers, and others that may be susceptible to missile attacks.
