Bloody Kate

Bloody Kate was the pirate-turned-mayor of Whitemist Harbor, and one of the five members of The Cartel. She totally controlled the major port into the region, although conversation with Krebblin Marrs did show that her hold was not absolute. Levan Absold described her as "exactly what you'd expect," and suggested that while she was a fearsome and fearless fighter, she was also not particularly sophisticated and not prepared for a magical conflict. He also figured her band's members to be less reliable than some, and thought they would be little challenge if she was removed from play.

As it turned out, he was right about the former, evidenced by Bloody Kate's death at the hands of Gnob's Folly in a ruthless surgical strike. Passing at the same time were her ship's doctor, Doctor Locker, and her first mate, long time companion and lover, Deathy Grynne. Also, some nameless mooks who someone probably cared about, but who will pass into the great oblivion without acknowledgement.
