  • Jetted over to the brothers' tomb, entered it with some shenanigans, killed some wights and elementals and a flesh golem

Deeper into the elf bro cave

  • Party makes its way up to the next level via the northmost passageway
  • It's basically plum full of traps
  • Apt does his job and does most of them in. We even manage to get two pounds worth of adamantium in the form of gears
  • By the time we get to the area, though, we've made enough noise that the ambush is ready for us
    • The wight from before, a couple of air elementals, some shadows

  • Edi is at the most danger from the elementals, but manages to miss most of it. The shadows are also as scary as usual, but go down easily enough.
  • Party goes West next.
    • A couple more shadows are there, but they don't see Apt when he almost bumps into them. He is invisible, though, so the only way he can communicate their location is verbally, which tips them off.
    • Party explores a bit, two other shadows come from the West while the original two come through a wall from the East.
    • Mad and Edi are engaged West, Russ and Apt East. It's plenty scary, but the two bruisers manage to draw enough aggro and avoid enough ability damage to keep from being in terrible danger while Edi gets into channel position.
  • The party comes to a huge, iron door. They decide to finish exploring the area first.
    • There's a flesh golem hidden in another secret room. It is defeated with relatively little fanfare.
  • Party rests, uses some lesser restore, gets back into fighting shape.
  • The door is approached. It is locked, and the writing on it warns of a curse (in Sidhe).
    • Apt manages to juuust about open it with the first round of bit o'lucked, boosted opening. But then he completely blows it on the second (rolls a 1 and a 2), and jam the lock.
    • Finesse out of the picture, it falls to Gokar's battering ram with Russ's assistance.
    • Pounding ensues. The door eventually falls, but not without alerting basically the whole dungeon.
    • As promised, a curse is set off. Everyone manages to avoid it but Apt, who has now discovered that any food put into his mouth turns into putrescent, inedible sludge (including potions)
  • A bit of exploring, and sure enough, the party is descended upon by wights and shadows galore.
    • On the plus side, this positioning makes them easy to hit with channels! After an initial onslaught that is very scary (mostly for Apt), they go down without too much hassle.
  • Another door! This one also warns us not to go any further:

    • Edi dispels a curse that was on it.
  • The party leaves off here, ready for whatever is on the other side of the door next game.
