The town of Tamerlane is the largest urban area of the Tamerlane duchy. It serves as the seat of the duchy and the focal point of civilization in the duchy. Before the establishment of the duchy, the last significant settlement in this area was an independent city in Fresia which was destroyed during the days of Alexandria and whose records were lost to time. The current town was built on top of the ruins of the older city.
