Waldthear Polmando was a human wizard (born 885 FI) who taught at the University of Fresia for two decades. After publishing a controversial paper examining whether divine magical power was, at its root, made of the same energies that fueled arcane magic, he was "asked" by the University to put aside teaching and reorient on his love of artifact history. Thus began his field research seeking powerful lost artifacts for academic study.
