Tad underpowered?
I think this is a decent spell, but after referencing the following spells:
* Flamestrike
* Touch of Fatigue (level 0 wiz spell)
* Poison (fortitude save Drd 3)

This does seem slightly underpowered to me. Fortitude save spells are definitely handy to have on hand sometimes, but I'd love to see this spell at least make the damage and fatigue rolls as separate Fort saves (perhaps with fatigue triggering a round later or something). I dunno-- trying to think of when this would be memorized over Poison or Flamestrike and it feels like it needs a little more to make it compelling for a 4th level spot. You (or the creator of the spell) might have had a particular balancing reason to have it as so, but just my $.02.

: You would use this over, say, flame strike or poison because this spell is specifically nonlethal and deals nonlethal damage. -gm
::More of a niche spell, then. Jones is right in that there are precious few non-lethal spells, although in terms of numbers, Starvation is definitely lacking.-Slitherrr
::: Well, plus a status effector! -gm
:::: Also, as a fort save, it cannot be <i>evaded</i>. -gm
::: Good point, I missed nonlethal as being a handy differentiator. I do think it would be a slicker spell if there were two fort saves instead of one, though. -Mattie 16:48, 12 February 2011 (EST)
:::: Generally speaking, spells only ever generate one save of a given type. Most spells that require multi-saves, like LE's new trump card, require saves from two different columns. -gm
::::: Poison being an exception (fort save for each tick). -Slitherrr
:::::: that's only sort of an exception... poison spell poisons you, and all posions require onset and latent saves.
