Among the most holy and loyal of the First Stand, first among the Children of Tragedy, and a storied hero in his own right, Dadtim the Younger was born in Gildenhome but emigrated to Tragidore as an infant with his parents. A member of the only Dwarf family in Tragidore, Dadtim spent his long childhood and adolescence as an outsider among the relatively quick-developing human population of Tragidore. Although his father was a smith and craftsman, Dadtim was solitary and quiet. There was little to read or otherwise occupy his time, and so he spent much of his time in the wild places around the village. According to the Testimonial of Dadtim the Younger, it was originally he who discovered the Black Wyrm's torpor, although it was Arek who actually wakened the beast.

After the razing of Tragidore, he was adopted by his uncle Dadtim the Elder, who attempted to raise him. He speaks nothing of their relationship in his Testimonial, although he does note that his uncle parted ways with him "in disgust and dismay." Afterward, he essentially became part of and was raised by the First Stand. In all of the orthodoxy, there is no figure more universally liked as he. There is no evidence of friction between Dadtim and any of the First Stand, and his relationship with some members - such as Kivan and Alexandria herself - was unusually close.

As he remained behind to allow the rest of the First Stand to retreat, Dadtim the Younger was the only other casualty of the Martyrdom of Alexandria.

He is the Champion of the loyal, of oaths, and of friendship. Although especially venerated by Dwarves, he is not their Champion.

According to tradition, the Dark Fiend entered the world 1000 years after its creation, although his existence remained undiscovered for almost 5000 years. During that time, he slowly corrupted the perfection of the early creation, sowing chaos and disharmony. He worked slowly, setting intrigues and suspicions that lay dormant for centuries. Glacially, he set race against race, brother against brother. His arsenal was mighty: greed. pride. envy. suspicion. In time, he corrupted the minds and spirits of the mortal races. His influence was finally discovered after Tedril Eladrith used the first sword to kill his sister, Tidreth Eladrith.
Following the First War, he was banished to and imprisoned in the Realm of Shadow. His followers retreated to the dark and dangerous places of the world, and slowly worked the will of their master and creator. In time, he began to slip his bonds.

Tragidore was the home to both Arak and Alexandria, although only the former was actually born there. It was razed by the Black Wyrm in the winter of 35 BI. It was a small farming village, at the time located next to a swampy forest. Little precise is known, but nevertheless the hamlet features a prominent place in Alexandrian lore. It was here Arek became the first Black Prophet and Alexandria took the Oath of Vendetta before being sacrificed and raised, a key event from the Prophecy of Alabar Tremaline.

Where it physically existed is unknown, and every nation claims former ownership of it. Most, in fact, have an official shrine commemorating the event, often a popular site of pilgrimage. In 87 FI, a minor war broke out between Flannery and Ubreckt over competing claims to the honor. In 88 FI, the Stand pressed Marrwyn Teldandilion - a living witness to the events - on the issue. She responded harshly:

I was the hunted, and to the hunted roads do not need name. I did not care where the road was or where the road led, so long as the road did not run out. I refuse now to conjure a false memory to put to end a foolish war. The Dark Fiend himself guided the hand that smote Tragidore, and all those who now spill blood might well be working in his name. Let the call go out to all the episcopacies - from city priest to remotest cleric - that all who bear arms for such cause are apostate.

By winter of 88 FI, the Homestead War was over.
