== Background ==
"[[Chieftain]]" is the roughly-translated moniker for the powerful [[Lizard Men]] tribe leader in the [[Swamp of Wydmoor]]. He is a druid of reasonable power and his tribe is one of the more organized groups in the Wydmoor swamp.

His tribe formerly venerated the [[Many-Headed Wyrm]] but now they are moving their base to the [[Wydmoor Swamp Temple]] (i.e. the Turtle Temple) and now revere the [[Temple Guardians]].

The Chieftain led a ritual to summon rain that helped put out the Great Fire of Wydmoor. Much of the city was destroyed, but much more damage was possible

=== Near-Death and Betrayal ===

The Chieftain was hung up on display in a death-like state when his tribe was usurped by a traitor and an evil orc tribe. He was brought back to life by being bathed in blood of the [[Many-Headed Wyrm]].

Due to being saved by Wydmoor representatives, he considers himself an ally of [[Wydmoor Free City]].
