	Levan Absold is the third of [[Garn Absold\|Garn Absold's]] brood, and [[Kib Absold\|Kib Absold's]] elder brother (by eight years). He and [[Jillian Absold\|Jillian]] grew up in the family before it acquired its noble title, and were the last to do so. Never as strong and hearty as [[Hogran Absold\|Hogran]] or [[Teila Absold\|Teila]], or as charming as Jillian, he made his way with cunning and subtle manipulation. He was never formally educated, but more than made up with it in rapid thinking and lightning reflexes. Through that time, Tana saw Levan begin to take more joy than he should in their bloody work. This culminated in a gruesome bid to head the gang they were a part of, in which Tana witnessed Levan gleefully hack off the previous leader's head with hatchets smuggled into a private meeting held on some other pretense.
