* Hill giant “ambush” on our way to the Kingdom of Wa
* Al sees what’s up, so before the giants get their ambush off he cuts three of them off from the rest with a wall of thorns
* Beat up 6 hill giants and 2 frost giants that tried to ambush us.

==The Ice Monster==

* {{Al}} predicts a cold front in a couple of days.
* The party sees nothing with their perception rolls.
* We are suddenly attacked by an ice monster of mysterious origins. It opens its surprise attack with a horrible cone of cold that freezes {{LE}}, {{Kaylee}}, and {{Stein}} in ice.
* {{Kaylee}} releases {{LE}}, herself and {{Stein}} from the ice with a dimension door.
* {{Al}} summons a huge Air Elemental which flies over to the ice monster and engulfs it in a whirlwind, smashing it against the nearby rocks and obscuring it from sight.
* {{Al}} realizes that the Air Elemental is no longer listening to his commands, so he quickly dismisses it before it can cause any problems.
* {{Al}} moves behind the ice monster which turns out to be a painful move as it slams him once during AoO and four more times with a full attack.
* {{Quinalin}} finally manages to scramble close enough to him and cuts him down with a power attack.
* {{Quinalin}} notices that the ice monster is regenerating, so {{LE}} kills off the last of its HP with another fireball.
* After the battle, {{Kaylee}} is able to use her mask to determine that it was an Ice Yai Oni. It’s an oni that moved into the body of an ice giant, and is able to turn invisible at will.

==Foiled ambush, take 2!==

* {{Al}} works some weather magic to protect the party from the storm and to hide us from being seen from enemies while we’re encamped.

* That night, {{Stein}} and {{Mose}} are on watch when they hear furtive, deep-throated whispers. The party is awakened by {{Stein}}.
* {{Al}} investigates as an air elemental and discover that a group of 6 stone giants and 1 cloud giant are attempting to find and ambush the party. He decides to spring the trap early and confuse them.
* Notable battle events:
** {{Mose}} charges out of the encampment and is immediately mobbed by giants.
** {{Kaylee}} dominates two stone giants, which she named '''Mark''' and '''Joe'''. We’ll have them for the next 11 days.
** {{Al}} encases the cloud giant and 3 stone giants in a wall of thorns, which they never really make it out of before being killed.
** {{LE}} gives the cloud giant and one stone giant terrible remorse, and they proceed to hit themselves in the head repeatedly.
** {{Stein}} busts out his holy sword and does a mighty amount of damage to one of the stone giants, killing it as dead as the stone it was named for.
** {{Quinalin}} crits the crap out of a stone giant for 87 damage, finishing off what {{Girl}} started.

* Waterskin filled with wine (being carried by stone giants)
