He was once an apprentice librarian for a psionic monastic order of gnomes. When the monastery was attacked and razed while he was away, he made an oath to rebuild the library. A formidable task, but as a brilliant student of Autohypnosis, and a novice telepath, he is able to call up knowledges from the deepest recesses of his subconscious. As Book has a bibliography of the entire library's contents committed to memory, and much of the contents of those books buried deep in the recesses of his mind, it's only a matter of traveling the world and finding the right titles.
