Kathkallan is a Peteran merchant who represents, primarily, a high-quality honey producer in Petera. On a recent trip to Wydmoor Free City, he was accosted by assassins from the Wydmoor Thieves' Guild hired by Jazasan Arrasti. Arrasti had signed a trade agreement that he was no longer able to honor, but wanted to hide his liquidity problems.
