The burning sphere of death keeps boiling away the Tempest cube, while

Nora gets engulfed by the Tempest ooze, but deftly avoids paralyzation for a little while.

Mahina heals Book and the party discusses returning to the torture chamber to rest.
After a fairly apathetic discussion, the group decides to hang out in the cave for 24 hours.

The party re-emerges back to the mushroom forest, refreshed
After discussing the violet mushroom, Book sends his rock out to scout.
Book notes that we cannot sneak past the mushroom but there are no other doors.
The party discusses where to go next.
After searching the cavern thoroughly, the party decides on a different course of action and climbs back up to the surface.
Back To the Upper Levels
The party heads back to the torture room.
A hidden entrance is found! As the door opens, extremely stale air rushes out with a gasp.
Merry asks Book to send his stone down the now-revealed staircase.
The rest of the party follows and comes to a doorway with a lever in front of it, a forcefield, and a lever behind the forcefield.
The party attempts to decide how to proceed.

The first forcefield in front of the party drops.

Nora out of the way and flips the switch down. The forcefield drops between the first area and second area. Acid starts to flow into the rest of the room where the party is. They all attempt to dodge it.

Mahina spots a nodule and reaches up to grab it, scalding herself with acid unavoidably as she does so.
The second forcefield goes down when

Stock goes down again as the party has to continue dodging the acid, not all of whom are able to avoid it this time.
