If they're 1800 apiece, then is the 1500 because we almost-killed two (the regen making it hard to tell when we've really "killed" one of the damn things)?

The XP each monster is worth is divided up among the party. It is inconceivable that you don't quickly dispatch the rest at the start of next game, so I just gave the total experience award for the encounter at the end of the session so Sarah could walk away with something semi-useful for subbing and sitting there for an hour while we did spreadsheety. -gm
