So, it's spelled "Arek" several places, and "Arak" in others. Is Arak the spelling, or is there some subtlety here that is not being pointed out? - Slitherrr 22:48, 25 August 2009 (EDT)

Nah, no real subtlety. My stock answer is that, just like in our world, words can have a variety of spellings and so they are both correct. This is a tremendously unsatisfying answer to everyone who does wiki stuff. ;) FWIW, it is pronounced "R-EK" so probably Arek is closer to right. -gm

  • Ok. I hope it's not controversial that I made a note to the lack of standardization of the spelling, just to lower the confusion level on reading the article a notch or so. - Slitherrr 22:00, 26 August 2009 (EDT)
    • What's the opposite of controversial? -gm
      • Uncontroversial or incontrovertible, says the trusty thesaurus. - Slitherrr 00:08, 28 August 2009 (EDT)
