One of the Children of Tragedy, and one of the adopted sons of Sayid ibn Maimun. He was a tall, lithe man with red hair, a fiery temperament, and a quick wit. He was Sayid's constant traveling companion, and became like a true son to the man.

When Sayid died, he made the controversial decision to make Mikos his primary heir over his many biological children, passing all of his titles to Mikos. Sayid's first wife Hadiya led a successful coup against Mikos, stripping him of his royal titles. Mikos went on to retain the title of Ishkan, and led the Bedouin Moon Children of Petera against the Peterans, eventually settling in The Ulan
