Black Scythe
The Black Scythe was a powerful magic scimitar wielded by Sayid ibn Maimun that carried an ancient and evil curse. This artifact is a significant part of the controversy surrounding Sayid, as it was known to periodically dominate his mind and control him to further its own agenda. Although this curse was obvious to everyone, Sayid himself claimed that the scimitar was a powerful gift, and used heavily his entire life.
Its history, prior to being discovered by Sayid, is unknown. What is known is that it came into his possession during his adventures in Tragidore. It was recovered from one of the few remaining tribes of servitor Naga. Stylistically, the blade appears to be a Dark Naga artifact, as scimitars were popular weapons among them, and its black and green coloring is consistent with their fashion.
Its enchantments were relatively well-known because of the prominent role the blade held. On its own, it was a deadly sharp, heavily enchanted blade. Its true strength, however, was against outsiders--an enchantment that struck many devastating blows to the Dark Lord's Shadow Army, particularly in Alexandria's Crusade into the Kingdom of Shadow. And, as Alexandria became an Outsider herself upon assuming the Omnity, a perfect weapon to sneak attack her with.
