The Bracers of the Moon King are a significantly Pre-Alexandrian artifact and symbol of kingship for the Moon Children of Petera and The Ulan. These bracers were worn by the God-Kings of ancient Petera, and were buried with the last Pharaoh of an organized Moon Child nation. Since their recovery by Sayid ibn Maium, they have also carried a powerful curse--the mind of the last Pharaoh still resides within, forcing the hand of the wearer of the bracers to further his own ambitions.

History

When the Bracers of the Moon King were recovered by Sayid in 32 BI, they were already ancient history. The little that is known about them was recovered from the murals on the walls of the pyramid they were recovered from, and the oral traditions of the Moon Children. According to legend, these bracers were a hereditary artifact held by the Pharaoh of the Amenhep dynasty of the ancient Nekebhet Empire. The Amenhep dynasty, which lasted many generations, was the last dynasty of the empire, and thus the bracers were entombed with the last ruler.

With Sayid's recovery, the bracers once again became a sign of kingship among the Bedouins of Petera. With Sayid's death, they were passed on to Mikos Lygit, who used them to maintain authority at first in rural Petera, and later in exile in the Ulan. In the following centuries, the bracers returned to public attention periodically due the bracers powerful desire to reconquer the Peteran mainland. Its most notable appearances were during the Twenty Years Raid from 127 to 149 BI under Erkuk Fire-Haired, and again during the Al-Azar Siege with Erdokung the Bold in 493 BI. Around 800 BI, it is believed that the Peteran Red Wizard Nasser al Fakhir ambushed and anchored the wearer of the bracers and imprisoned them in a Peteran vault, where they likely remain today.
