Most gold and silver coins are created by the Church through mandatory tithes for the purpose. Lesser coinage (copper) is minted at the national level, and the Wydmoor Mint actually produces Electrum Pieces which leverages a loophole in Church law requiring that gold and silver coins be Church creation.
