Most gold and silver coins are created by the Church through mandatory tithes for the purpose. Lesser coinage (copper) is minted at the national level, and the Wydmoor Mint actually produces Electrum Pieces through a loophole in Church law that only mentions gold and silver coins as requiring Church creation.
