Light halfling lance

A martial weapon employed by halfling dog riders, the halfling lance relies on forceful precision and deep penetration for damage dealing. Typically made of very light wood with a head of razor sharp stone. It deals damage and criticals as a regular lance, but while light halfling lances may be created in tiny variants, the weight benefits do not scale to allow such lances in sizes above small. Typically, unless a mithril or darkwood variant, lances are destroyed or abandoned after a successful attack, so a dog rider will typically between two and six of these with his mount, depending on if the particular rider is a skirmish or engagement specialist.

Mithril halfling lances weight five pounds. Halfling lances may not be made of any other magical ore.
