GITH CONCEPTS OF MARRIAGE

Gith seem to have gender parity in leadership with a complicated matriarchal system of lineage. Marriage is only formalized among Gith leaders or in spoils of a challenge and is largely more political and symbolic than anything else.

Most "common gith" exist in very extended polyamorous units, with "marriage" being more of a temporary agreement that is more for the purpose of lineage of potential hatchlings and mutual desire than can be unilaterally broken at anytime.
