The sword featured in this painting is not Steros', as one might expect, but rather [[Shadowfell]], the stariron bastard sword crafted by [[Antioch]] for his failed assault on [[the Dark Lord]].

"The Declaration" depicts Steros Merroand's revelation to Antioch and his minsters that Alexandria, not Antioch, was the savior spoken of in Alabar's prophecies, generally considered to be the start of the Prophet's War. The sword featured in this painting is not Steros', as one might expect, but rather Shadowfell, also called Thorn of Midnight, the stariron bastard sword crafted by Antioch for his failed assault on the Dark Lord.
