Grandle Mag

Grandle Mag, aka the "Bandit Saint of Alexia," is the current captain of The Arch-Warden's Wraiths, the 88 Bog Wraiths that serve as 1/3rd of the Arch-Warden's body and honor guard. It is a position he has served since 1398 FI, when he took over after the resignation of Ralth Onorodil.

Grandle Mag rose to prominence as a bandit and raider in the East of Alexia, fighting the occupation of the Odessans. In no small part due to his efforts, Odessa finally abandoned the Alexian East to concentrate on consolidating their effective hold on the West, hiring the Bog Wraiths to maintain nominal control of at least the Alexian capital city. Initially, he also fought against the Bog Wraiths until his capture by the same. After a brief period of imprisonment (and presumed negotiation), Grandle Mag joined the Wraiths, bringing many of his band with him. Although initially horrified and angered by the allowed defection, Odessan sensitivities about Mag cooled somewhat as he was assigned away from Alexia and into the Arch-Warden's Wraiths, where he served admirably and competently for a decade before taking over from Ralth.
