Lizardfolk are sapient reptillian humanoids.  Their societies are largely tribal, and they confine themselves primarily to swamps or underwater air-filled caves (but never in colder climates, since they are impaired in lower temperatures by their cold-blooded nature). Some Lizardfolk have been reported as far south as the Stormchalice, though how they maintain body temperature during the cold winters is unknown. They stand slightly taller than a human on average, and are correspondingly heavier, with 3-4 foot long tails used for balance.  They are generally a brownish green color, and may have stripes, spots, mottles or other colorations.

They are endothermic to some degree and thus able to live in areas with harsh winters, though none are found outside of tropical or temperate climates.
