Lizardfolk

Lizardfolk are sapient reptillian humanoids. Their societies are largely tribal, and they confine themselves primarily to swamps or underwater air-filled caves (but never in colder climates, since they are impaired in lower temperatures by their cold-blooded nature). They stand slightly taller than a human on average, and are correspondingly heavier, with 3-4 foot long tails used for balance. They are generally a brownish green color, and may have stripes, spots, mottles or other colorations.
