Sahuagin are sapient marine predators, roughly human-sized. They are usually green on their dorsal sides and lighter colored on their ventral sides, sometimes with stripes, bands, or spots. Sahuagin are sapient marine predators, roughly human-sized. They are usually green on their dorsal sides and lighter colored on their ventral sides, sometimes with stripes, bands, or spots. While their appearance is reptilian, they are underwater breathers (specifically saltwater--freshwater immersion leaves them fatigued), and can not survive for prolonged periods out of it.
The mainland, connected as it is by an expansive, internal river network, does not often encounter Sahuagin, although they can be quite the danger to trade in the Heretic Sea.
