Talk:Hospitalier

The hospitalier class in the complete divine is kind of random. Its a mounted combat fighter class with moderate spellcaster advancement. It gets 'lay on hands', remove disease (1 or 2 / week), and a bunch of fighter bonus feats.

The 'servant of pelor' was more of a pure healer class, but it had a lot of anti-undead abilities. It did, for the record, have a similar ability to Healing Surge that is much stronger called Empower Healing that might be worth considering. Here are some of the relevant features for your consideration:

Divine Health - Immune to disease, including magical disease like lycanthropy and mummy rot (two classes get this at 2nd).

Empower Healing - Any time they case a domain spell from the Healoing domain, it is affected as though it was memorized with the Empower Spell feat without using up a higher level slot.

Mass Cure Light Wounds or Cure Disease - used 1/day or 1 or 2/ week as a spell-like ability.

Aura of Health - Player and all alies within 10 feet get a +2 morale bonus to fort saves.

I do think this class is pretty cool--I'm just posting these for ideas/references. I think the +x caster level when casting healing spells is a little yawn. But the potion crafting feats are novel and I like them, although I think you could boost the experience reduction a little bit. 10% and 20% don't make a whole lot of difference (one free potion for every 5 made at best?). You might boost it to 20/40 or 25/50.
