This power says it can be delayed by multiple rounds if you (1) spend XP in 3.5 or (2) take more negative levels in PF. Just to be clear, those extensions are allowed in this setting? -Mattie 09:35, 31 July 2013 (EDT)

Yeah. The negative level still puts a short and reasonable cap on how long a rez is really viable, as if you are rez'd with negative levels equal to character levels you'll just die again. I really think it should be one negative level per round instead of per two rounds, but hopefully it won't come up too often. heh. -gm
For linguistic synergy, what if Ubrekti is the only language spoken by that person (or, more likely, what if the document is in Ubrekti)? You're just doomed to the -1?-Slitherrr
It's virtually impossible for someone to speak only Ubrekti. Even an Ubrekti from Ubrekt is going to have some version of Old Ubrekti as a native language. Speaking only Ubrekt is like trying to write poetry using contract law. -gm
Yeah, but see: "(or, more likely, what if the document is in Ubrekti)". Does that must mean some reasoning about what languages the author could communicate in? -Slitherrr
I'm dense this morning. Example me. -gm
1200 FI document is found in a chest in Odessa, written in Ubrekti. Do we try to figure if the original document-writer shared a language, or do does the check get a -1 by this criteria? -Slitherrr
