Flight no longer has maneuverability class: maneuvers use the fly skill. You might want to tell Travis that, since he has no points in fly. [1] -gm

You generally need only make a Fly check when you are attempting a complex maneuver. Without making a check, a flying creature can remain flying at the end of its turn so long as it moves a distance greater than half its speed. It can also turn up to 45 degrees by sacrificing 5 feet of movement, can rise at half speed at an angle of 45 degrees, and can descend at any angle at normal speed. Note that these restrictions only apply to movement taken during your current turn. At the beginning of the next turn, you can move in a different direction than you did the previous turn without making a check. Taking any action that violates these rules requires a Fly check. The difficulty of these maneuvers varies depending upon the maneuver you are attempting, as noted on the following chart.

From the Department of Bad News, Hero Lab Psion module has an error. Half-Elves should not be able to get PSPs for their favored level bonus. The +10 will need to go back to being split between HP and Skills. We regret the error. Since you are now actively curating this sheet, I'll let you make the changes. I don't remember how you had them spent, anyway. -gm

  • No worries, the change has been made. To clarify though, the pathfinder srd seems to indicate that once you decide to put your favored class point toward either HP or Skills at first level, you can't switch it up at subsequent levels and put a point toward the other. Unless being able to split them is a homebrew rule? For now, I put all 10 toward HP. - vashalla
    • Is that so? I just looked it up, and I think you might be misreading it?
    • Each character begins play with a single favored class of his choosing—typically, this is the same class as the one he chooses at 1st level. Whenever a character gains a level in his favored class, he receives either + 1 hit point or + 1 skill rank. The choice of favored class cannot be changed once the character is created, and the choice of gaining a hit point or a skill rank each time a character gains a level (including his first level) cannot be changed once made for a particular level. Prestige classes (see Prestige Classes) can never be a favored class.
    • Emphasis mine. My reading of this is that favored classes cannot be changed once they are selected, and once you pick how a point is spent for a level it cannot be changed, but you can choose individually what to gain at every level. The last clause in that section seems indicate a distinct choice is made every level. In any event, this is also the reading over at stackoverflow, in Hero Lab, and on the paizo forums for the Pathfinder Society. -gm

  • Oh, nice! "9th: Expanded Knowledge (Escape Detection)^" I love Kaylee so much. That plus Detect Scry is a pretty substantial PSP sink, but Fuck Eyndredell and his manipulations, even if he is family! *golf clap* Using the GM required Pathfinder conversion to fuck over Eyn is doubleplusgood. +250 XP. -gm
    • Based on the discussions I've had with Mattie, BTW, I'm going to go ahead and preemptively rule that this will also work vs. magical detection as well. I see this as a power that cloaks your own mental signature as opposed to negating the magic/psionic power. In that case, I'll go ahead and say that anywhere it says "clairsentience power" it should be read as "clairsentience power or divination spell." The mainland version of the transparency rule is basically that "indirect effects are countered directly, while direct effects are countered inefficiently." I think Mattie groks it better than I can explain it, but it is very hard for magic to directly eliminate or bypass psionics, but it is very easy to create a psionic effect (mind shielding) that circumvents a magical assault (read thoughts), but it is very hard to use psionics (Dispel Magic, Psionic) to disrupt an existing magical effect (Dominate Person). The hand-wave explanation is that, at the end of the day, both magic and psionics alter reality through different mechanics, any power that attacks the method of that alteration (Dispel Magic, Dispel Psionics, Mage's Disjunction, etc) works at reduced efficacy, while any power that circumvents a power (True Sight, Mind Shield, Supress Emotion, etc) works at equal efficacy. -gm
  • Thanks! I had some potential future feats already laid out, and when I saw that I got to pick another feat due to the Pathfinder switch, it was a no-brainer. That's going to make our decision on what to do a lot easier now. - vashalla
    • Yep, 99% sure I get how the two kinds of magics interact now. - vashalla
