Thanks for the wrapup cross-post. I'll get a narrative of the whole session down when I get a chance. -Slitherrr

My pleasure. The end of an adventure/campaign/chapter/major quest is the optimal time for a little box text and fast forward. I find my long history of playing CRPGs has left an indelible impression on me in terms of campaign structure. I left some time in there (Probably 4-6 days?) for people to do any downtime, or even go on a dungeon crawl if they're particularly ambitious or complete-ist. -gm

First part, now to do some real work before adding more. -Slitherrr

Part two! The battle, and with it, the exciting conclusion, later. -Slitherrr
Woooo! I demand at least one kitten be eaten or worn over the course of the story ;) --Msallen 09:01, 22 December 2009 (EST)
Kitten consumed. -Slitherrr
Woo WOOOOO! --Msallen 09:47, 22 December 2009 (EST)
Part two and a half. It's late, I'll finish it up tomorrow. -Slitherrr
Har, by the way. Effective ECL Level! -Slitherrr
No shit. I realized just after I shoulda said that. --Msallen 10:33, 23 December 2009 (EST)

FWIW - the only reason there was a single survivor is that he was actually 5 feet outside the fireball radius. If he'd gone down one square over. . . .

Ha, yeah. It'll teach me to ask if the NPCs get the same buffs the PCs do, next time. Poor sots. -Slitherrr
Hm. Mage Armor castings/potions would not be so far out of the realm of possibility, at 25 each for a scroll or 50 each for a potion. The resist elements you had on yourselves was a 3rd level casting. Potion of Shield (As 3rd level caster) @ 300 gp each. I'm interested in where one would go about finding 4,200 gold pieces worth of shield scrolls, to go along with the 14 additional castings of Mage Armor and 14 additional castings of a third level abjuration spell, all given 90 minutes of lead time. Major abjuration on the mission specialists is one thing, but trying to cover every element of even a skirmish-sized force is seriously prohibitive.
Next time just don't clump them all together. Lesson learned. :) -gm
Haha, right, I didn't think about the cost, but only because I'm not used to thinking about it. I totally never meant to imply that you SHOULD have told me, just simply stating that I'll keep more of them alive next time. -Slitherrr
Yeah, sadly, all the really good magics are kind of cost prohibitive for The Help in most cases, excepting some persistant AoE spells. -gm
