More Furniture!

  • First Pathfinder game! Lots of time spent switching everyone over in setup, so now we're PF-tastic
  • Next room! Kib attacks the door unceremoniously. It obliges and attacks back.
  • The furniture here is kitchen-oriented: Cauldron with stand, cabinets galore (including one full of cutlery), tables
  • It all falls more-or-less without anything too crazy going on, except a couple of things.
    • Kib's adamantine rapier keeps being great, allowing him to keep up in damage with Gilerl.
    • Thoven's flaming sphere is useful as always
    • The cutlery cabinet uses its cutlery as a breath weapon that doesn't friendly fire. Its damage ends up being underwhelming, but not for lack of trying--5d4 in a huge cone.
    • Most of these things have reach, slapping people with their doors and whatnot.
    • Marwynn summons a fire beetle. It latches on to a table leg, then is promptly squished by a cabinet on the next turn.
    • Thed uses up a couple of fireball beads, and Thoven gets in a fireball as well. This takes out the majority of the close-quartered furniture.
    • Cutlery cabinet is last standing, with one HP. Thed gets to finish it off

More Furni--wait up, this is different

  • The next door is approached. Kib knocks, then starts hacking as usual. He stops, though, when the door doesn't attack back.
  • Thed is enlisted to open the door. The lock is difficult, but Thed is up to the challenge. No traps go off.
  • Kib and Gil take the lead and open the door.
  • Everyone is immediately attacked by white flying creatures, roughly seven feet long and serpentine. They, strangely, have single hands jutting out just behind the head.
    • They haven't done much damage, but perform an attack requiring a Fort save that, at the very least, dazes its enemies.
    • They also regenerate, and are ridiculously acrobatic (AoOs are mostly a foregone conclusion)
  • Magic Missiles prove very effective. Everyone else smacks at them the way they know.
  • Thed coup de graces one into very deep negatives, keeping it from being an issue. Another also is in negatives.
  • End session mid-battle, to hopefully pick up soon.

Awards

  • 1500 (750/750 Thoven/Sarah): The deaths of a couple of the five serpentine, white flying things. (1,800 each, paid forward before their deaths since it is probably coming soon)
