This spell causes all bones and corpses, even those as deep as 10 feet underground, to rise up. Up to 10 hit dice per level of the caster can be created in this manner. Additionally, this spell operates under fundamentally different mechanics than Animate Dead. These undead do not count toward your control limit for animate dead or rebuking undead, and even bodies that were previously animated may again rise if they are in any condition to do so.
The undead collapse and are destroyed at the end of the spell's duration. The caster must maintain line of sight to be able to concentrate on his legion.
