Since the final product weighs half as much, mithral is 1Kgp/lb, which comes out to 20gp/coin. This implies that mithral is as common or even more common than platinum, since the latter isn't used as a trade good (only as a currency), while the former would almost immediately be used to make fancy stuff upon extraction (just ignore armor pricing in this calculation, because it is wacko, which it needs to be for mithral armor to be worth buying). Anyway, I just thought this was cute. -[[User:Slitherrr|Slitherrr]]

Mithral coins are twice the value of platinum!

To determine the additional price for the mithral (as compared to the normal item's price), use the non-mithral item's original weight and multiply that by 500 gp per pound.

Since the final product weighs half as much, mithral is 1Kgp/lb, which comes out to 20gp/coin. This implies that mithral is as common or even more common than platinum, since the latter isn't used as a raw material (only as a currency), while the former would almost immediately be used to make fancy stuff upon extraction (just ignore armor pricing in this calculation, because it is wacko, which it needs to be for mithral armor to be worth buying). Anyway, I just thought this was cute. -Slitherrr
