Non-tunnel

A non-tunnel is a permanent magical gateway that connects two points. All non-tunnels have a limited number of transports per day or per week, though some rare ones are powerful enough to move tens or possibly even hundreds of men at a time. The largest ever non-tunnel was the historic Ubrekti Passage, which connected Ubrekt City to Hakan City during the Ubrekti Empire and was destroyed during the last War of Fracture.

Due to the sophistication of the devices, and the difficulty of their upkeep, most are maintained by trained wizards, often graduates of one of the Universities.
