Did we kill 20 orcs yet? --Msallen

--stuff was here--
: No, there were no achievements back when you fought that first group. If you kill less than ten while you're in the swamp, I'll eat my hat. -gm
+
:: In fact, the swamp seems a LOT more dangerous since the last time you guys were there, just judging by the frequency of hostile encounter. -gm

Accidentally deleted a bunch when I moved em a few revs back, but all is well now. -Slitherrr

:Also, should xorry get Iron Stomach? That poison was technically never supposed to be ingested. -Slitherrr
+
:: Yes. Drinking poison definitely counts.

Does Kib qualify for Collecting Cobwebs if he hasn't used Uncanny Dodge? It's probably a moot point anyway, though, since he'll most likely gain a level before he gets his cohort. -Slitherrr
+
: The second part you said, about the cohort.

{{talk|It could be slightly less, yeah, but it's really, really hard to follow these talk pages for people outside of the conversation. I'm just a stickler for trying to make sense of what is being discussed and in what order. It may not be something to use, but I thought I would put it out there for any interested parties. :)

I can add a template parser extension and likely convince this to work more automatically. If I do that for our wiki at work, I'll share it here, too. :)

Edit: Let me add that I was actually intending these talk "blips" to be used temporarily inside page content to ask questions and then be deleted when the questions are remedied. A not-perfect example would be at the end of this topic: Bethnalay#On_The_Away_Team.27s_Return_From_the_Tomb

:: Hmmmmm... What class are we trying to cheat our way to? Defender? -gm
+
::: It's not cheating if the GM approves! :) I don't have any in mind. I haven't found any Prestige Classes that work very well for Mose, even missing a prereq. Without skill points at all and being a Paladin, he's fairly limited and none may even apply even with a relaxing. Maybe skipping an exalted feat for one of those crummy exalted prestige classes? But I haven't thought about those much since they're pretty bad. They might add flavor for Mose even if not much power. Still-- even if Mose can't use the reward, it might help one of the other players, though. Defender is good, but will be some time before Mose could try it. Field Marshal could happen, too, and is fairly interesting. (shrug) Just spices things up a bit.  -Mattie
+
:::: Field Marshall actually cannot happen, as it is at the very least nationality exclusive. If you're committed to abandoning Pally, then you might as well just multi to a base class. Maybe even Fighter if you were looking for a way to grab feats for another prestige. (Fighter 1 and 2 grant feat levels)
+
::::: Although, as defender would work against more fully specializing your core strength (mobility and damage dealing), it seems like a not-Mattie choice, although I personally think it's not a terrible pick up as it allow for some versatility in dealing with threats, or even the option to rush to a critical area and then hold it. Though, generally it seems the staying rooted part of the defender precludes the movement boots and shifting that are the strengths of the Templar. -gm
+
:::::: Ah, didn't know FM had an extra requirement of being from a special location (hard to tell since all prestige classes are worded somewhat like that). There are some WotC prestige classes that Mose might qualify for, but no guarantee you'll consider them and they're not good enough to fight for anyway. Besides Paladin, only flavor-appropriate (and underpowered) path would be for Mose to seek Divine Crusader (Travel), which he arguably qualifies for without the Achievement. Really Templar should have just been 10 levels so Mose wouldn't feel so lost. :) -Mattie

Oh, and shiftiness of the timing and reward aside, I think it is a good achievement overall. -gm
+
: Thanks! :) For the record, the worst/shiftiest abuse of this Achievement's reward would probably be to (ruin a character) and ignore the size requirement for the War Hulk class (bottom of page). -Mattie

:1. Enlarge  plus perm plus xp cost
+
:2. No.
+
:: lol-- that class is interesting. So it ends up solely getting extra attacks through its cleaving-sort of attacks? With no BAB it seems like it would be hard for them to balance quite right. I like the part ("No time to think") where at level 1 the class zeroes out all of its int/wis/cha skill ranks. Talk about a one-trick megapony. -Mattie
+
::: I think, unless its used against you, we can pretty much ignore anything in the mini handbook.
+
::: I mean, unless you want to play minis. I have a FUCK TON. -gm
+
:::: I do not want to play minis (well, I would again once or twice). Nor would I ever want to play that class. Nor do I want it used against us! I just geek out a bit when designers push the limits of game mechanics. Ignore me. ;) -Mattie
