Talk:Lilia Absold

Many years after coming up with the Absold concept, I find myself saddened that I relegated Lilia to "dead mother" status. Writing this in a way to have an out--it doesn't need to be taken, but one can never have enough story hooks. -Slitherrr

I'm pretty sure, given dead mom's impact on the story so far, you can trivially retcon her back to life ;) --Msallen
I couuuld do that, but the old, "Wait, my mom's not ACTUALLY dead" twist can be fun, too, so the more subtle approach seems like it could be better payoff in the long run (if it comes up). -Slitherrr
Don't get your hopes up. If you mention a living family in your backstory, this GM always kills them ;) --Msallen
Tana's my cohort! And if anyone kills Levan, it'll probably be us, honestly. -Slitherrr
She's dead. Feel free to go visit her grace in Farandon if you ever get back there. I'll leave the surprise resurrections to Dickens. -gm
Personal atonement for my previous transgressions in propagating lazy female character tropes doesn't have anything to do with you actually acting on it. Not that you actually needed to say anything about it, spoilsport. -Slitherrr
I play the tropes I'm dealt. Frankly, everything's a trope even our attempts to escape them. It's not punishment. absalom 21:43, 14 January 2015 (EST)
Oh, no doubt. All I mean is that I can control what tropes I make easy with what I provide. This is just me weaseling out of the trope fodder I gave years ago--I'm not really implying any action on your part, because my personal satisfaction is more about the fodder provided than the end result. -Slitherrr
Because even though everything is a trope, I mind my complicity in some less than others, is all. -Slitherrr
I feel that. absalom 16:52, 15 January 2015 (EST)
