I think I want to invest in some barding for the guy. Kib's weight is 195, plus 60ish in gear (chainmail is heavy!), putting his total horse load at 255, leaving 45 pounds for barding to keep at a light load (if Kib manages to score a Mithral breasplate, this will jump up to 70 available). Barding options are then:

The http://www.d20srd.org/srd/improvingMonsters.htm Improving Monsters] section of the SRD doesn't say anything about them getting stat points for HD, so I'm not giving TP one. HP was figured by 8-1 + 3, but I could do the SRD monster HP method of (((1 + 8)/2) + 3)*4 to get 30 instead. -Slitherrr

Heh, I just realized that this HD increase basically makes him a Heavy Warhorse with better movement. -Slitherrr
