He was once an apprentice librarian for a psionic monastic order of gnomes. When the monastery was attacked and razes while he was away, he made an oath to rebuild the library. A formidable task, but as a brilliant student of Autohypnosis, and a novice telepath, he is able to call up knowledges from the deepest recesses of his subconscious. As Book has the entire libraries contents committed to memory, and much of the contents buried deep in the recesses of his mind, it's only a matter of traveling the world and finding the right titles.
