Grrrllwofrowffgrr ("Girl") is a brown bear animal companion of AlToken.PNG Al He was a former pit fighting and baiting bear, and so is particularly ill tempered to most, and has a fearsome enough look that few approach. His right ear has clearly been bitten off at some point in his past, his left eye gouged out, and his right eye is cloudy.

General

Al found  GrrrllwofrowffgrrToken.PNG Grrrllwofrowffgrr in a cage (!) at a carnival run by a bunch of Grey Hand halflings just east of the Swamp of Wydmoor. Girl and the two black bears he was enslaved with were made to fight for the pleasure of others. Al didn't like this, so he freed all three of them. The black bears eventually wandered off to live their lives, but Al and Girl became bestest friends.

Al gets a +4 bonus on all Handle Animal checks with Girl.

  • HP: 111 (8HD, Con +4, +11 bonus that Matt gave me for taking -11 to spot for being one-eyed)

  • AC: 20, touch 10, flat-footed 18 (regular AC 15 base+1 for increased dex +4 for animal companion coolness)
  • Attacks: 2 Claws +14 (damage 2d6+9) (has Improved Natural Attack (Claw) Feat); Bite +9 (damage 2d6+4)
  • Initiative: +2
  • Speed: 40
  • Grapple: +19
  • Improved Grab
  • Improved Natural Attack (Claws) Claws now do 2d6 base damage

  • Fortitude: +11

Animal Companion Special Qualities

  • Link: A druid can handle her animal companion as a free action, or push it as a move action. Get a +4 circumstance bonus on all wild empathy checks and Handle Animal checks made regarding an animal companion.
  • Share Spells: At the druid’s option, she may have any spell (but not any spell-like ability) she casts upon herself also affect her animal companion. The animal companion must be within 5 feet of her at the time of casting to receive the benefit. If the spell or effect has a duration other than instantaneous, it stops affecting the animal companion if the companion moves farther than 5 feet away and will not affect the animal again, even if it returns to the druid before the duration expires.
  • Evasion: If an animal companion is subjected to an attack that normally allows a Reflex saving throw for half damage, it takes no damage if it makes a successful saving throw.
  • Devotion: An animal companion gains a +4 morale bonus on Will saves against enchantment spells and effects.
