Edrell's raven familiar. Like most of his kind, his eyes are dark and beady. He is known to be sardonic in speech and mannerisms. He refers to Edrell as "The Boss," and refers to everyone else as something insulting. Has been seen in human form at least once, while communicating with Gnob's Folly (although they knew nothing of his relationship, and only that he was not as he appeared to be).

Thanks to Edrell's enchantments, Mat can cast greater invisibility at will and has a permanency'd see invisibility
