Is this an intentional misspelling, or should servator -> servitor?

Servitor Lineages

I know these are based on the older d&d-style monster races, but under the pathfinder personalities bugbears being descended from catfolk and goblins from gnomes makes more sense. The bugbear description is pretty much a large outdoor cat:

They are loners, preferring to live and kill on their own rather than form tribes of their own kind, yet it isn't uncommon to find small bands of bugbears working together, or dwelling in goblin or hobgoblin tribes where they function as elite guards or executioners. Bugbears do not form large warrens like goblins or nations like hobgoblins; they prefer smaller-scale mayhem that lets them keep their favorite acts (murder and torture) on a more personal level. Humans are a bugbear's favored prey, and most count the flesh of humanity as a dietary staple. Grisly trophies of ears or fingers are common bugbear decorations.

Note that there's some weasel-wording in there, too ("according to these traditions"), so we're free to think they're actually from anything else, or their own things and not corruptions of some other race, or any combination of those. -slitherrr (talk)

That's not a bad argument, actually, but the current setup has the ironclad "Cat people turn into dog people" symmetry to it. Goblins come from hobgoblins, I guess, and are crappy and uninteresting enough where I am fine with them being the bastard mongrel offspring of bastard mongrels. Assuming any of this is true - I haven't given it much thought. Servitors have all kinds of idiosyncratic beliefs, but a common thread is that their own origins predate the mainland humans and demihumans. absalom (talk) 21:00, 3 May 2016 (EDT)

Gripplis

Do Gripplis exist on the mainland? I thought some group had fought them, but there's no search hits.--Bartley (talk) 16:46, 2 May 2016 (EDT)

We've never interacted with them. Gnob's Folly had some interaction with Sahuagin (interspersed sessions 33 through 44 I believe), but for obvious reasons those are less a "mainland" thing and more a "occasionally bumped into by seafaring ships" thing. -slitherrr (talk)
