Does this class require divine spellcasting ability? Its not clear if it does. If it doesn't, you might consider treating it like the blackguard prestige so its not a wash for warrior classes that take it.

Also, I looked at the complete divine for some ideas, but there wasn't much. Their templar (temple defender) gets a lot of extra smite abilities like yours has. Theirs gives some damage reduction and bonus feats, which I don't think is nearly as creative or flavorful as your movement-enhancing feature. ' The only thing I thought was neat was a feature called Mettle, which is an Evasion for will and fort saves. Any spell that has a 'will partial' or 'fort half' save have no effect effect on save with this feature.

Mettle is actually a really good idea, though there are almost none that have will partial. Templar here is in the spirit of the original protector of travelers. The movement stuff might end up being problematic, but I'm hoping not. Detarame 21:57, 2 February 2009 (EST)
