Last Game
- We meet Edrell in a room with a fireplace. Kathkallen, still tagging along, sits out in the foyer while the rest of the party talks to Edrell.
- Edrell talks... and talks, and talks...
- Edrell says he’s carving this little plane out himself, it’s his home.
- The dark elves are hunting anyone who is half-elven because they are extremely racist and think half-elves are an abomination. Marhargarin is protected by an amulet of non-detection that Edrell gave her, and Edrell is protected by his little home in the deep ethreal plane. Also, because he’s ridiculously powerful. He says he will make Kaleesarynn an amulet like Mar’s, but it will take 35 days to do. In the meantime, he’s just been spying on her.
- Edrell also talked about his, Kaleesarynn’s, and Mar’s mother. She was being used as an exhibit of a carnival called The Dark Carnival. She told Edrell that dark shadows attacked the carnival, but The Hand fended them off, and they - presumably, the dark elves - never came back to try again.
- Kaleesarynn tells Edrell about how Marhargarin offered her the amulet of non-detection, and the party gets to witness a rare moment of Edrell completely losing his cool. He clearly cares about Mar, and wants to see her safe. Kaleesarynn explains that Mar did take the amulet off for a few seconds, but that no one scryed on them in that time. Edrell seems to be relieved, but a little worried still. This moment confirms for Kaleesarynn that he is sincere about wanting to keep her and Mar safe, even if nothing else he says is true.
- We learn that the Odessans are building a fleet, and Edrell believes it’s because they plan to invade Sidhe-Praxen, the homeland of the elves. Hedrifax Kaine wants to kill the Lady of the Mountain and become a god.
- Al is upset that they’re killing a lot of trees to do this, and he’s very skeptical that the Odessan’s plan could succeed.
- The party now faces a dilemma. Will we stay here for 35 days while Edrell makes an amulet for Kaleesarynn, leaving Odessa unhindered in their plans? Will Kaleesarynn stay, while the rest of the party deals with Odessa? Will we all leave together to deal with Odessa, and if so, will LE agree to let Kaleesarynn wear the amulet, and we take our chances with LE’s hunters finding us, or will LE wear her amulet, and we risk being exposed to dark elf attack? Is there another option?
- Al absolutely will not stay here unless physically forced to.

New Game
- Kaleesarynn has a sudden revelation - escape detection - will allow us to move about without an amulet of nondetection for Kaleesarynn and without being as vulnerable to scrying. Edrell will still work on making the amulet for Kaleesarynn in the meantime.
- Edrell says he will give ‘’’Kathkallen’’’ money so he’ll be able to deal with his bee problem with local resources rather than distract the Silverwalkers.
- The party tries to plan their next steps.
- Edrell convinces the party to go to Odessa and stop the Mad King from trying to become a god.
- Mose doesn’t want to plan to assassinate him, but recommends capturing him. And later recommends actually just taking him to the church once we have evidence he wanted to become a god.
- The party agrees to go to Odessa.
- The party walks through a portal to Odessa... and into a land that is decidedly NOT Odessa. This place is a badlands with a deserted farmhouse.
- Very strange place. Petrified trees.
- South we see hills/mountains in the distance, all look barren. Sparse petrified tree that Al has never seen before.
- All of the trees and all of the wood of the house are petrified.
- We walk up to the house, and have to bash open the door because it’s rusted shut. Mose bashes the door down, and it breaks easily.
- Inside is an empty room with an actual stone fireplace. There are some rooms that are also empty.
- In the floor, there is a petrified wooden trap door. Mose smashes his foot through the door and injures himself. It is a grave of a child.
- LE searches the fireplace, which collapses in on itself.
- Quinalin finds 4 gold coins that are very worn down and have a cat head on one side. Al says that it’s strangely anthropomorphic.
- Kaleesarynn finds some grains that Al doesn’t recognize (not even with a natural 20), but thinks these would have grown in a much, much wetter climate.
- Al did some reconnaissance as an air elemental and found out that we’re on one of a string of islands far to the West of Wydmoor, and he’s determined that we can’t get to Wydmoor from where we are.
- ‘’’Mat’’’ doesn’t know why we’re here. Quinalin postulates that maybe when Edrell sent us on our way, the dark elves interfered and sent us here instead.
- The party decides to head toward the edge of the island, where there is more greenery. On the way, we encounter an encampment of 17 ogres, which we decide to ambush and hopefully capture a couple.
Battle Preparation
- Buffs cast: Bless ( Kimika), Schism ( Kaleesarynn), Blood Claws (for Template:Grrl), Mage Armor ( LE), Divine Favor ( Mose)
- Al preparing Obsidian Flow, and that will start the battle - he’s flying above them as an air elemental
