The http://www.d20srd.org/srd/improvingMonsters.htm Improving Monsters] section of the SRD doesn't say anything about them getting stat points for HD, so I'm not giving TP one. HP was figured by 8-1 + 3, but I could do the SRD monster HP method of (((1 + 8)/2) + 3)*4 to get 30 instead. -Slitherrr

Heh, I just realized that this HD increase basically makes him a Heavy Warhorse with better movement. -Slitherrr

Do animals not get a second attack for +6 BaB? -gm

They do, but TP's BaB is 4. -Slitherrr

I think I want to invest in some barding for the guy. Kib's weight is 195, plus 60ish in gear (chainmail is heavy!), putting his total horse load at 255, leaving 45 pounds for barding to keep at a light load (if Kib manages to score a Mithral breasplate, this will jump up to 70 available). Barding options are then:

Light

• Padded (20 lbs) 1 AC 8 MD 0 ACP, 20 gp
• Leather (30 lbs) 2 AC 6 MD 0 ACP, 40 gp
• Studded (40 lbs) 3 AC 5 MD -1 ACP, 100 gp
• Chain Shirt (50lbs) 4 AC 4 MD -2 ACP, 400 gp

All prices are +150 GP for masterwork.

Barding will be easy enough to find, either back in Kred (which you just left and we can retcon since I missed this) or... whatever the town your going to is called. You can get it with close to zero wait time. -gm

Dunno, we're not exactly sitting on tons of gold. I guess we could at least afford padded, so I'll mark that. -Slitherrr

Does barding ever reduce mount speed the same way armor does for creatures? -gm
